George Habash

Graduate in medicine, 1951 from American University of Beirut; founder member and activist in the Arab National Movement (founded in the early 1950s at the American University of Beirut);
Turned after the 1967 war leftwards in his political thinking and established the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) in 1968; PFLP General Secretary from 1968 to 2000. |
