Darwish Nazzal
Born in Qalqilya on 25 Nov. 1938; studied Medicine at Ein Shams University, Egypt, graduating in 1964;
Worked as a doctor in Kuwait for two years; then served at the American Board of Internal Medicine from 1967-72; became chief of internal medicine and cardiology at Maqassed Hospital, Jerusalem, in 1972; also ran a private clinic in Ramallah; became Chief of Internal Medicine at Maqassed Hospital from 1986;
Served as Chairman of the Health Services Council and as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Birzeit University from 1988; served as Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Medical Association from 1991;
Died on 28 Feb. 2002. |
